About The Position

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic and optimistic Lead Service Technician for a full-time position in Mansfield, Ohio. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with on-call availability. The technician installs and services vending and merchandising equipment at client locations within a designated area, helps clients learn to use new equipment, and maintains client and customer relationships. The role requires mechanical and technical aptitude, a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed. A CDL is not required. Applicants must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle and be able to pass a DOT physical. AVI Foodsystems conducts pre-employment drug testing.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and make appropriate repairs.
Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record; a CDL is not required.
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience repairing automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area.
Educate clients on how to effectively use new equipment.
Perform minor vending equipment repairs.
Remove outdated and unused equipment.
Test vending equipment to ensure proper function.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment.
Build and maintain client and customer relationships.
Order parts needed to complete repairs.
