About The Position

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is hiring a Lead Service Technician to provide maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, and freezers. The role pays $31.00–$39.00 per hour. Experienced technicians may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500.

The technician diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment; communicates updates about parts orders and repairs to branch support and customers; completes service calls accurately and promptly; audits truck stock to ensure required parts are available; and keeps the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms aligned with Whaley safety standards. The role includes on-call requirements.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the company's safety standard.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive, electrical, installation, or mechanical background.
• Journeyman License and/or CFESA certification.

Responsibilities
