About The Position

Whaley Foodservice is hiring a Lead Service Technician to maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers. The role diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment issues, completes service calls accurately and promptly, and communicates repair and parts-order updates to branch support and customers. Technicians audit truck stock and maintain their service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Whaley safety standards. The position also meets on-call requirements. The posted pay rate is $28.00–$35.00 per hour. Whaley Foodservice is a commercial kitchen equipment repair service company with more than 600 employees across 31 locations in the Southeast.

Requirements

At least three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Satisfactory background check and drug screen.
Valid driver's license and a driving record that aligns with the company's safety standard.
Ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and soft skills.
Good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Automotive, electrical, installation, or mechanical background.
Journeyman license and/or CFESA certification.
