About The Position

MUFG is seeking a Lead Senior Audio-Visual Engineer to serve as the firm’s enterprise AV authority and lead systems integrator. This is a lead individual-contributor role with dotted-line influence across engineering, operations, workplace and facilities, network, security, project delivery, and vendor teams. The role leads enterprise AV architecture and standards; executive rooms, IPTV, and mission-critical collaboration spaces; and observability, automation, APIs, data extraction, and dashboarding for the AV/UC estate. The successful candidate translates multi-stakeholder discussions into clear requirements, decision-ready design recommendations, and supportable production standards for a large, risk-sensitive global enterprise. The position covers the full AV room and platform lifecycle, from concept and design through commissioning, operational turnover, refresh planning, and decommissioning. It also establishes enterprise standards and reference designs, integrates vendors and platforms, and applies telemetry and automation to improve room health, readiness, utilization, and lifecycle decisions. The role supports executive and other mission-critical spaces and mentors junior engineers while promoting engineering quality and operational readiness. The role follows a hybrid schedule: four days per week at an MUFG office or client site and one day working remotely. The typical base pay range is $130,000–$205,000 in New York/New Jersey and $130,000–$188,000 elsewhere, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The role may also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on expertise with Cisco Control Hub, Cisco collaboration devices running Microsoft Teams Rooms mode, Microsoft Teams/Teams Rooms, IPTV/digital signage platforms, Utelogy, and enterprise AV monitoring and management systems.
  • Strong understanding of device and workspace inventory, configuration management, status, and administrative control models.
  • Strong capability in automation, scripting, APIs, and dashboarding for AV/UC operations, including REST/API data extraction, metadata normalization, scheduled reporting, alert/event handling, and visualization of room health, utilization, capacity, and lifecycle data.
  • Strong knowledge of software-defined and networked AV and AV-as-a-platform design, including AV-over-IP, VLAN/QoS/bandwidth planning, conferencing interoperability, identity/workspace metadata, device baselines, and integration with enterprise support and management planes.
  • Experience creating engineering-quality documentation and visual design artifacts for stakeholder decisions, including floor plans, room layouts, elevations, rack plans, signal-flow diagrams, BRDs, standards catalogs/templates, scopes, BOMs, and turnover/as-built packages.
  • Experience testing, commissioning, validating, and handing over enterprise AV environments, including room-ready gating, service-readiness criteria, change control, post-install acceptance, and support-team handoff.
  • Practical understanding of AI in enterprise AV engineering, including analytics for planning, AI-driven camera behavior and meeting views, proactive monitoring, automated workflows, and platform telemetry.
  • Experience in large enterprises and financially regulated or equivalently controlled environments, with awareness of cybersecurity, auditability, compliance, change windows, operational resilience, service metrics, and executive risk sensitivity.
  • Strong vendor and integrator leadership skills, including challenging drawings, reviewing trade-offs, governing exceptions, managing standards adherence, and driving outcomes with integrators, OEMs, facilities partners, and internal teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building operational dashboards from Cisco/Webex device APIs, Teams Rooms analytics, Places analytics, and Utelogy telemetry.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit for plans and elevations, and Bluebeam for markup and review.
  • Experience in banking, capital markets, insurance, government, healthcare, or another tightly governed environment.
  • AVIXA CTS certification; CTS-D is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in Teams Rooms, Cisco/Webex devices, or major DSP/control ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the authoritative AV subject-matter expert on complex stakeholder calls; lead structured discovery, resolve competing viewpoints, capture business and technical requirements, and produce BRDs, floor plans, test-fit decisions, BOMs, signal-flow packages, and formal design recommendations.
  • Lead the AV room and platform lifecycle from concept, survey, test-fit, and architecture through engineering, commissioning, room-ready gating, operational turnover, refresh and end-of-life planning, and decommissioning.
  • Define and govern enterprise AV standards and reference designs for huddle, conference, boardroom, executive office, digital signage, wayfinding, multipurpose, and town-hall spaces.
  • Serve as lead systems integrator across vendors and platforms, driving interoperability among Cisco collaboration endpoints, Microsoft Teams and Teams Rooms, IPTV and signage, room scheduling and wayfinding, DSP/control, and adjacent enterprise systems.
  • Architect observability and automation for the AV/UC estate using platform telemetry, administrative and device APIs, and management portals to create actionable dashboards for device health, room readiness, utilization, capacity, and lifecycle decisions.
  • Design future-state conference rooms with measurable hybrid-meeting outcomes, incorporating AI-assisted room capabilities and relevant occupancy and utilization signals.
  • Deliver operational transition materials, including SOPs, runbooks, commissioning evidence, room-ready acceptance criteria, training artifacts, L2/L3 support expectations, and RASCI boundaries.
  • Mentor junior engineers and improve engineering quality through design reviews, standards enforcement, vendor drawing reviews, commissioning discipline, lessons learned, and practical coaching.
  • Support executive and mission-critical spaces, including boardrooms, executive offices, and town halls, where service quality, resilience, timing, and risk sensitivity are elevated.

  • Educational assistance and training programs
  • Income replacement for qualified employees with disabilities
  • Paid maternity and parental bonding leave
  • Paid vacation, sick days, and holidays
