About The Position

Continua Interiors is hiring an Audio Visual Design Engineer to develop and support audiovisual system designs and proposals for customers and partners. The role collaborates with sales, AV drafters, project managers, and installers to create accurate proposals, gather site information, produce system designs and documentation, and support successful installations. The position requires technical experience or a related bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in the audiovisual field. It includes customer and vendor communication, maintaining confidentiality, keeping current with AV technologies, and travel of up to 10% as needed. This is a full-time position with a standard Monday–Friday schedule unless otherwise noted. The hiring compensation range is a base salary of $100,000–$135,000, with actual compensation based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market considerations. Requirements

Technical experience or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in the audiovisual field.
Knowledge of products and concepts including Extron, Crestron, Cisco/Polycom/Lifesize VTC systems, Poly, Biamp, QSC, Shure MXA, and Dante and AES67 standards.
Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read construction documents and use them to inform AV design decisions related to building construction and infrastructure.
Knowledge of installation methods and products, including mounted speakers, displays, cameras, cabling infrastructure, AV racks, wall plates and interfaces, and microphones.
Knowledge of audio, video, and control terminations and connectors.
Understanding of network topology.
Time-management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with overlapping deadlines.
Ability to communicate and engage professionally with vendors, partners, and customers in person and via audio/video conference.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and processes.
Commitment to maintaining expert knowledge of existing and emerging AV technologies.
Commitment to pursuing training and certifications that support personal and professional growth.
Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
Ability to meet the physical requirements, including regularly sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing; occasionally standing, walking, and stooping; and occasionally lifting or moving up to 40 pounds.

AutoCAD experience.

Ability to read Crestron, AMX, and Extron code.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the sales team to create timely and accurate proposals.
Work with potential partners and customers to design and develop AV solutions.
Conduct site surveys to gather information for accurate proposals.
Produce system designs and documentation, including bills of materials, scopes of work, equipment rack layouts, and budgets or estimates.
Support pre-sale drawings, modeling, and documentation as needed.
Attend customer meetings as required.
Work with AV drafters on system drawings and documentation, including AV plans, elevations, schematics, and cabling schedules.
Collaborate with project managers and installers to support successful system installations.
Protect confidential information, including customer lists and interactions within the role's responsibilities.
