About The Position

The Lead Sales (Key Holder) inspires customers to express themselves at home and brings the West Elm brand to life by helping customers discover products suited to how they entertain. The role drives sales by building connections and creating lasting customer relationships. It also supports store management, supervises store operations during manage-on-duty shifts, and models sales generation and excellent customer service. The position is based at the West Elm Outlet in Wrentham and is full time.

Requirements

• Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples.
• Must be able to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and mobilize items up to 75 pounds using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of retail sales experience; shift supervision experience preferred.
• One to two years of experience in home-related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred; specialty retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging customer experiences by sharing expertise on enhancing the home.
• Support the management team with opening and closing routines, register functions, and back-office procedures.
• Supervise store operations to help ensure financial goals are met and associates provide World-Class service.
• Maintain visual, replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back-of-house standards during manage-on-duty shifts.
• Perform the Selling Captain role and model sales generation and customer service, prioritizing the customer experience.
• Maintain an environment where associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, consistent with the People First Philosophy.
