About The Position

AbleLight is hiring a part-time Lead Retail Sales Associate. Lead Sales Associates assist in supervising store operations, product rotation, and the training and coaching of associates and volunteers in support of AbleLight’s mission, vision, and core values. They provide direction to staff to help ensure customer satisfaction and production standards are met and established goals are achieved.

The role implements and maintains standards for maximizing the value of donated goods and effectively utilizing space. It also supports staff, associates, volunteers, donors, and customers, and helps maintain a safe, orderly store environment. The position requires regular lifting and extended periods of standing and moving store fixtures and items.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail or customer service experience.
• One year of leadership experience.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record as defined by AbleLight.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly and more occasionally.
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours.
• Ability to assemble and move racks and shelves for extended periods.
• Ability to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
• Must be able to work full-time hours during the week, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain established standards to maximize value on donated goods and ensure effective space utilization.
• Coach and train assigned associates and volunteers.
• Assist in resolving associate, donor, and customer concerns.
• Follow established loss prevention and security procedures.
• Complete required reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment and ensure staff follow safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist in supervising store operations and product rotation.
• Provide direction to staff to support customer satisfaction, production standards, and established goals.
