About The Position

AbleLight is hiring a part-time Lead Retail Sales Associate. The role assists in supervising store operations, product rotation, and the training and coaching of associates and volunteers in support of AbleLight’s mission, vision, and core values. The Lead Retail Sales Associate provides direction to staff to help ensure customer satisfaction and production standards are met and established goals are achieved.

The position requires working full-time hours during the week, including days, evenings, and weekends. Physical duties include regularly lifting 40 pounds, standing for up to eight hours, assembling and moving racks and shelves for extended periods, and carrying items up and down stairs as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail or customer service experience.
• One year of leadership experience.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record as defined by AbleLight.
• Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds and occasionally lift more.
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours.
• Ability to assemble and move racks and shelves for extended periods.
• Ability to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
• Must be able to work full-time hours during the week, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain established standards to achieve maximum value on donated goods and effective use of space.
• Coach and train assigned associates and volunteers.
• Assist in resolving associate, donor, and customer concerns.
• Follow established loss prevention and security procedures.
• Complete required reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment and ensure staff follow safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
