About The Position

AbleLight is hiring full-time and part-time Lead Retail Sales Associates. Lead Sales Associates assist with supervising store operations, product rotation, and training and coaching associates and volunteers in support of AbleLight’s mission, vision, and core values. They provide direction to staff to help ensure customer satisfaction and production standards are met and established goals are achieved.

The role involves working with donated goods, supporting store operations, responding to concerns, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. Applicants must be able to meet the stated physical demands and work full-time hours during the week, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail or customer service experience.
• One year of leadership experience.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record as defined by AbleLight.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly and more occasionally, and to stand for up to eight hours.
• Ability to assemble and move racks and shelves for extended periods.
• Ability to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
• Ability to work full-time hours during the week, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain established standards to maximize the value of donated goods and use space effectively.
• Provide coaching and training to assigned associates and volunteers.
• Assist in resolving associate, donor, and customer concerns.
• Follow established loss prevention and security procedures.
• Complete required reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment and ensure staff follow safe work practices.
• Assist with supervising store operations and product rotation, and provide direction to staff to help meet customer satisfaction, production standards, and established goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
