About The Position

The Lead Retail Associate provides daily direction toward store goals and supports planning associate work assignments. The role follows store policies, procedures, and programs and typically handles projects and tasks lasting from one day to three months. The associate directs daily work, helps ensure coverage at the point of sale and donations, monitors production quality, and serves as a service experience leader. The role also supports a safe and orderly workplace, communicates policies, resolves routine employee and customer concerns, and represents Goodwill in the community.

Requirements

• Forklift certification, if required at the site.
• Work a varied schedule and flexible hours; nights and weekend shifts may be required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Direct tasks such as associate break schedules, production processes, and end-of-day recovery.
• Ensure adequate coverage at the point of sale and in donations.
• Monitor and assist with production quality standards while encouraging associates to meet individual production goals.
• Function as a service experience leader (SEL).
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment; ensure employees operate equipment safely and follow safe work practices.
• Communicate and implement policies and procedures, reporting concerns to leadership.
• Resolve employee concerns and first-level customer concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
• Assist in resolving employee and customer concerns and promptly address safety and security concerns.
• Plan and manage own work to complete routine responsibilities; follow through on learning and skill building to adapt to change.
• Complete routine work under supervision and refer work beyond routine tasks for detailed guidance.
• Apply basic knowledge of procedures and methods and respond to routine customer service requests.
• Serve as a Goodwill ambassador in the wider community and participate in volunteer opportunities as schedule and interest permit.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
