About The Position

The Lead Registered Dental Assistant serves as a floor supervisor at a Western Dental/Brident office. The role supervises back-office staff and supports patient management, patient flow, office sterilization, regulatory compliance, inspections, supplies and records. The position also leads and motivates the back-office team and prioritizes the Ultimate Patient Experience. Requirements

Experience supervising a team of 8–12 team members, with the ability to demonstrate authority, delegate responsibility and hold a team accountable.
Working knowledge of dental equipment and terminology, OSHA and safety compliance.
Current X-Ray License, or an agreement to obtain the license within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

Supervise back-office staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations and accountability.
Participate in hiring, selection and retention of back-office staff.
Manage patients in partnership with dentists, provide pre- and post-treatment instructions, and ensure patient satisfaction.
Monitor patient flow by reviewing the sign-in sheet and appointment book and adjusting the schedule as needed.
Ensure sterilization of the office and equipment.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, Dental Board and corporate policies and procedures.
Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly inspections.
Maintain dental supplies and inventory, and stock supplies in operatories, restrooms, the lab and other areas as needed.
Maintain proper patient treatment records.
Lead, inspire and motivate back-office staff.
Participate in monthly operational meetings.
Prioritize the Ultimate Patient Experience (UPE).
