Lead Nutrition Sales Consultant
About The Position
JustFoodForDogs is seeking a Lead Nutrition Sales Consultant who is passionate about pet health and helping feed dogs and cats. The role provides personalized nutrition consultations and product recommendations to customers, while leading, training, and coaching a team of Consultants. The Lead also supports front-end store operations, including merchandising, housekeeping, stock management, point-of-sale duties, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The position is full-time and non-exempt, located in Walnut Creek, California, and reports to the General Manager.
Requirements
- Passion and motivation to make a difference in the health and lives of dogs and cats.
- Retail or consultative sales experience.
- Leadership, training, and coaching experience.
- Drive to meet and exceed targets and goals.

- Experience in the pet supply category.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers and their dogs in-store and make personalized recommendations for meals, treats, supplements, and other JustFoodForDogs products.
- Learn and apply pet nutrition and company product knowledge to encourage pet parents to feed JustFoodForDogs.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships and provide quality follow-up and ongoing support.
- Lead by example and train and coach the Consultant team to meet expected standards.
- Lead merchandising, housekeeping, stock management, and front-end point-of-sale duties.
- Ensure company policies and procedures, including safety, security, and point-of-sale requirements, are followed.
- Communicate insights and ideas to the manager to help the store achieve its targets.
