The Lead Mitigation Technician provides emergency services, mitigation, remediation, and fire restoration for properties affected by disasters. This role is the first point of contact for clients, explains Paul Davis services and processes, and communicates with empathy and urgency. The technician leads a team at job sites, works closely with the Mitigation Coordinator and Mitigation Manager, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and using proper methods. Responsibilities include assisting with initial inspections for water, fire or smoke, mold, and tree-fall damage; documenting conditions with photographs, 360 scans, and sketches; and coordinating with management about the source and scope of damage, insurance approvals when directed, and next steps for clients. Field work may include emergency tarping and board-ups; water extraction, demolition, drying-equipment setup and monitoring, moisture readings, and drying logs; remediation containment, air scrubbers, HEPA vacuuming, and antimicrobial application; and fire-damage demolition and structural cleaning. The Lead Technician documents job progress, ensures required job records are completed, communicates proactively with internal staff and clients, and maintains clean, stocked, and organized vehicles and warehouse areas. The role requires working in challenging environments and participating in overtime and an on-call rotation.
