The role requires specialized meteorological experience, including applying weather-forecasting and observation procedures, analyzing and verifying atmospheric data, preparing technical reports and forecasts, and presenting weather briefings and advisories. The employee may work evenings, weekends, holidays, shifts, and emergency overtime, and may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station. The position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
