About The Position

The Lead Material Handler oversees day-to-day warehouse operations, coordinates inventory, and leads a team to support safe and efficient workflow in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. The team receives more than 760,000 items annually. The role involves unloading, inspecting, documenting, and routing parts and goods, coordinating dock activities, resolving discrepancies, and supporting fuel unloading for engine test-cell storage tanks.

Requirements

2–3 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Ability to perform frequent sitting and some walking, standing, and climbing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
U.S. work authorization.

Nice To Haves

ERP system experience with inventory management experience preferred.
SAP experience preferred.
1–2 years of supervisor or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, coordinate inventory, and lead the team to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
Unload parts into the facility using PIV, MHE, and pallet jacks.
Document and verify receipts against accompanying packing slips.
Cross-check boxes against freight manifests and inspect for visible external damage.
Immediately report damage or discrepancies to carriers and ensure they document discrepancies on inbound manifests.
Segregate packages or items for final disposition and alert the Quality Team for review.
Unpack parts in a controlled environment and prevent their removal from the dock until properly received into SAP.
Match customer service orders to incoming vendor repair engine parts and place parts in approved containers.
Validate quantity discrepancies, visible part damage, documentation or part discrepancies, and other deviations with the Quality Team.
Route new parts and airworthiness certifications to the storeroom.
Coordinate dock activities with the Product Storeroom, Component Repair Business, and Service Center.
Escalate problem parts to the Materials Supervisor to support timely resolution and final disposition.
Clear documents and open purchase orders by performing Goods Receipt SAP transaction MB01 and Goods Reversal Reference SAP transaction MB01.
Monitor unloading fuel into storage tanks for engine test cells to ensure safety and prevent spills; take action to mitigate spills in accordance with procedures.
