About The Position

The Material Handler supports production by moving products and materials between the warehouse and production areas. The role receives production orders and plans material deliveries to ensure supplies reach production lines promptly and production standards are met. It also handles unused materials, prepares products for shipment, moves finished product to the warehouse, and removes waste from production areas. The position maintains material-handling equipment and follows good manufacturing and housekeeping practices, including assisting with sanitation duties as needed. This is a permanent, full-time role on Crew D, working overnight 12-hour shifts on a rotating two-week schedule.

Requirements

Ability to keep up with a fast-paced conveyor line.
Ability to drive a forklift and pass the in-company forklift driver training program.
High degree of attention when driving to prevent injury to others.
Mental alertness to identify quality issues.
Ability to understand and follow standard procedures.

Responsibilities

Move product and materials between the warehouse and production areas to maintain production.
Receive production orders and plan timely delivery of materials from the warehouse to production lines.
Remove and replace unused materials, and transfer unused materials to and from warehouses.
Prepare stock for shipment by securing products with stretch wrap, slip sheets, or pallets.
Transport products from the production floor to the warehouse using a forklift.
Remove trash product from the oven and production floor and move it to the waste dumpster.
Complete pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment and perform operator repairs, such as changing batteries.
Follow housekeeping standards and assist with sanitation duties as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
