Lead Maintenance Technician
About The Position
The Lead Maintenance Technician oversees maintenance operations at The Bordeaux apartment complex in Houston, Texas. The role leads maintenance staff, performs repairs, manages preventive maintenance, and helps ensure the property’s facilities remain in good condition while providing responsive service to residents. The position includes coordinating daily maintenance activities and staff schedules, inspecting the property, completing work orders, maintaining maintenance records, and supporting the safety and development of the maintenance team. The technician must participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Lead Maintenance Technician experience in the multifamily industry.
- Participation in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends.
- Universal EPA Certification.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities and staff schedules.
- Perform routine property inspections to identify issues and necessary repairs.
- Complete repair and maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Lead preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests and completed work.
- Respond to resident requests and concerns professionally and urgently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in training and mentoring maintenance team members.
