About The Position

The Lead Laborer operates and converts UBS Arena from event to event by reconfiguring the arena, its floor, and concourses to meet each event’s needs. The role involves event setup and strike, operating equipment, maintaining event supplies, and following applicable operating and safety procedures. The position pays $23.74 per hour and will remain open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Conversion or change-over experience.
Reliable, punctual, and regular attendance.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure without losing composure.
Ability to sit, walk, stand, lift heavy objects, reach, pull, push, grasp, and drag.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality.
Courteous and polite demeanor.
Knowledge of buildings and events.
Ability to work any day or shift of the week, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Set up and strike event equipment before, during, and after events, including stages, tables, chairs, carpet, pipe and drape, and risers.
Operate equipment and maintain supplies needed for events.
Store supplies properly, maintain equipment, complete daily time logs, and use vehicles properly.
Safely operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other equipment typically used in this work.
Follow OSHA guidelines when operating designated equipment.
Switch between varied duties without losing efficiency or composure.
Follow operating policies and procedures at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
