Lead Infant Teacher — Full-Time, Monday–Friday
About The Position
Discovery Kidzone is seeking an experienced early childhood educator to lead an infant classroom and support infants during their earliest stages of development. The role is scheduled to begin November 2, 2026. Coaching and training are available to help the right candidate succeed as a Lead Teacher. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with no evenings or weekends. The Lead Infant Teacher leads classroom routines, plans developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supports children's development, communicates with families, ensures compliance with licensing requirements and center policies, and guides classroom team members.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare or early learning setting.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- A patient, dependable, and professional approach to working with children and families.
- CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to complete all required state licensing and background check requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with infants or toddlers.
- Leadership experience; training and mentorship are provided.
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines for infants and young toddlers.
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Observe and document children's progress.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding children's development and daily activities.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies.
- Guide and support classroom team members while promoting a collaborative environment.
- Organize classroom materials and maintain a clean, safe learning space.
- Work closely with center leadership to ensure high-quality classroom operations.
