About The Position

Maple Hospitality Group is a hospitality company whose restaurants aim to provide impeccable food, world-class service, and distinctive dining experiences. Maple & Ash is a modern take on the traditional steakhouse, serving classic wood-fired dishes and featuring a wine program recognized by Wine Spectator. The Lead Host manages guest arrivals, reservations, wait times, and seating while helping deliver a professional, accommodating guest experience. The role reports to the Director of Restaurants and General Manager and requires flexibility to meet the changing needs of the restaurant and guests.

Requirements

Proficiency with reservation-system software.
Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual demeanor.
Drive to provide exceptional service and accommodate guests.
Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Confidence in personal style and appearance.
Ability to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail.
Communication and delegation skills.
Time-management skills.
Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance in a clean uniform.

Responsibilities

Manage reservations using SevenRooms.
Enthusiastically welcome guests upon arrival and graciously thank them for dining.
Manage waiting guests, assign tables, accurately quote wait times, and seat guests in a timely manner.
Provide excellent service and accommodate guest needs.
Adjust to the changing needs of the restaurant and guests.
Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively.
Use critical thinking to handle difficult guest situations.
Help fellow teammates and remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
Identify investors and restaurant VIPs and notify their server.
Communicate changes and events that may influence covers.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
