About The Position

Maple & Ash is an innovative take on the traditional steakhouse, combining a modern aesthetic with authentic service and classic wood-fired dishes. The Lead Host helps deliver the restaurant’s guest experience by managing reservations and arrivals, coordinating seating, and supporting clear communication among the restaurant team. The role reports to the Director of Restaurants and General Manager and requires flexibility, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Proficiency with reservation-system software.
Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
Demonstrated drive to provide exceptional service and accommodate guests.
Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Confidence in personal style and appearance.
Ability to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to delegate.
Skilled in time management.
Ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance in a clean uniform.

Responsibilities

Manage reservations using SevenRooms.
Enthusiastically welcome guests upon arrival and graciously thank them for dining.
Manage waiting guests, designate table assignments, accurately quote wait times, and seat guests in a timely manner.
Provide excellent service and make an effort to accommodate guest needs.
Adjust to changing needs of the restaurant and its guests.
Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively.
Use critical thinking to handle difficult guest situations.
Help fellow teammates and work calmly and efficiently during busy periods.
Identify investors and restaurant VIPs and notify their server.
Communicate changes and events that may influence covers.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
