About The Position

The Lead Food Services Assistant supports dietary services at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. The role assists dietitians with screening new admissions and collecting food preferences, maintains accurate computer systems, and processes, modifies, collects, and checks patient menus. The assistant also participates in meal services and other production-related duties as needed. Effective communication with patients, families, and the dietary team is important to keep people informed about additional food item availability and support meal service.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
No experience required.
No travel required.

Responsibilities

Assist dietitians in screening all new admissions and obtaining food preferences.
Maintain computer systems accurately.
Process, modify, collect, and check patient menus.
Participate in meal services and other production-related duties as needed.
Communicate with patients and families to keep them informed about additional food item availability.
Maintain proactive and effective communication with the dietary team.
