Internal Lead Foodservice Team Member
About The Position
The Lead Food Service Team Member leads by example, supports the team, and helps deliver fresh food and exceptional customer service. The role keeps food service operations running smoothly while ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized, and ready to serve. It contributes to Maverik’s food and customer experience while helping teammates build their skills and providing an experience customers remember. This is a full-time opportunity with a starting pay range of $17.76–$19.76 per hour. The role is for current Maverik team members only. Stores operate 24/7, so the position may require flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Team members must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
- Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.
- Must be flexible to potentially work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to perform the physical activities described, including lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Model and reinforce Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations to support a friendly, welcoming, and exceptional customer experience.
- Conduct orientation and training for Team Members, ensuring proper and safe food preparation.
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service and create a positive experience for every customer.
- Prepare and cook Maverik Bonfire food items according to recipes and maintain enticing food displays.
- Help keep food service operations running smoothly and the kitchen clean, organized, and ready to serve.
