About The Position

The Lead Food Service Team Member leads by example, supports the team, and helps deliver fresh food and exceptional customer service. The role keeps food service operations running smoothly while ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized, and ready to serve. It also helps bring Maverik’s food and customer experience to life while developing leadership skills.

The position models Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) service expectations, supports Team Members through orientation and training, and helps ensure food is prepared properly and safely. The Lead Food Service Team Member provides friendly customer service, prepares and cooks Maverik Bonfire food items according to recipes, and maintains appealing food displays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.
• Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to perform the physical activities described, including frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing, and potentially lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Model and reinforce Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations.
• Conduct orientation and training for Team Members and ensure proper, safe food preparation.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and create a positive experience for customers.
• Prepare and cook Maverik Bonfire food items according to recipes.
• Maintain enticing food displays.
• Help keep food service operations running smoothly and the kitchen clean, organized, and ready to serve.
• Lead by example and support teammates.
