About The Position

The Lead Food Service Team Member leads by example, supports the team, and helps deliver fresh food and exceptional customer service. The role helps keep food service operations running smoothly while maintaining a clean, organized, service-ready kitchen. It also provides an opportunity to develop leadership skills while helping create a positive customer experience.

The Lead Food Service Team Member models Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations; supports, orients, and trains Team Members in proper and safe food preparation; provides friendly and helpful customer service; and prepares and cooks Maverik Bonfire food items according to recipes while maintaining appealing food displays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
• Be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as store needs may require.
• Obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.
• Be able to safely work with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Meet the physical requirements of the position, including frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing, and potentially lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Model and reinforce Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations.
• Conduct orientation and training for Team Members, ensuring proper and safe food preparation.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and create a positive experience for customers.
• Prepare and cook Maverik Bonfire food items according to recipes.
• Maintain enticing food displays.
• Help keep food service operations running smoothly and the kitchen clean, organized, and ready to serve.
• Lead by example and support teammates.
