About The Position
Allegiance is seeking a Lead Floor Tech for a manufacturing/industrial facility in Front Royal, Virginia. The role involves floor care and general building cleaning, including carpet steam-cleaning, stripping and waxing floors, buffing, applying sealant, and deep-cleaning painted floors with appropriate chemicals or degreasers. The employee will also perform custodial tasks, handle trash, and move heavy equipment and furniture. The position includes supervisory responsibilities and requires flexibility in availability. On-the-job training is provided.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a related field.
- Experience managing custodial operations.
- Proven ability to motivate and train staff.
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines; self-directed.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and achieve effective time management.
- Strong service and quality mindset.
- Professionalism.
- Proven computer skills.
- Flexibility in availability.
Responsibilities
- Steam-clean carpets.
- Strip floors using the proper machinery.
- Apply wax to coat floors and buff them.
- Apply sealant to floors.
- Deep-clean painted floors using appropriate chemicals or degreasers.
- Clean buildings by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and cleaning other surfaces.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Move heavy equipment and furniture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Manage custodial operations.
- Motivate and train staff.
