About The Position
Allegiance is seeking a Lead Floor Tech for a manufacturing/industrial facility in Front Royal, Virginia. The role involves floor care and general custodial cleaning, including carpet steam-cleaning, floor stripping, waxing and buffing, applying sealant, and deep-cleaning painted floors. The Lead Floor Tech also cleans buildings, handles trash, and moves heavy equipment and furniture. The position includes supervisory responsibilities such as managing custodial operations and motivating and training staff. On-the-job training is available.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a related field.
- Experience managing custodial operations.
- Proven experience motivating and training staff.
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines; self-directed.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and achieve effective time management.
- Strong service and quality mindset.
- Professionalism.
- Proven computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Steam-clean carpets.
- Strip floors using the proper machinery.
- Apply wax to coat floors and buff them.
- Apply sealant to floors.
- Deep-clean painted floors using appropriate chemicals and degreasers.
- Clean buildings by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and cleaning other surfaces.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Move heavy equipment and furniture.
- Manage custodial operations.
- Motivate and train staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
