About The Position

Join a fast-paced, elite aviation operation supporting the National Hockey League team, the Columbus Blue Jackets, as a dedicated Flight Mechanic aboard a Boeing 757-200. You’ll travel with the team, ensuring the aircraft is mission-ready for every game, road trip, and special event. This role is unique as it involves traveling with a professional National Hockey League team, being part of a tight-knit aviation and sports operations group, and having a dynamic schedule aligned with the hockey season. There are approximately 65 trips per season with the same overnights, and an opportunity to attend NHL games.

Requirements

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
Experience on the Boeing 757 required.
5+ years of turbine aircraft maintenance experience.
Ability to travel extensively, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
Valid US passport with one year remaining.
Ability to clear security/background checks.
Ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

Perform line maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on the Boeing 757 under 14CFR125 Operations - Private Carriage.
Accompany the aircraft on all team travel, ensuring dispatch reliability.
Coordinate with flight crew and ground maintenance providers at outstations.
Manage MEL/CDL compliance, logbook entries, and airworthiness documentation.
Oversee fueling, servicing, and turnaround readiness at each destination.
Act as the primary onboard technical authority during trips.
