About The Position

The Lead Field Service Engineer develops and delivers structured technical training programs that build field technicians’ practical capability in industrial electrical systems, controls, PLCs, motor controls, troubleshooting, and electrical safety. The role combines technical instruction, curriculum development, mentorship, and competency evaluation, helping ensure consistent, safe, and capable field service performance across job sites. The position creates lesson plans, presentations, hands-on exercises, assessments, and reference materials; translates engineering, OEM, and technical documentation into practical instructional content; and updates training as equipment and procedures change. It delivers classroom, shop-based, and field-based instruction, mentors technicians, evaluates and documents competency, and supports electrical safety qualification training in coordination with Safety and designated electrical authorities. The role also maintains training records, qualification matrices, schedules, and competency documentation; identifies overdue or expiring requirements; provides technical support to field technicians and leadership; observes field performance; investigates recurring technical issues for training gaps; and coordinates with Engineering and OEMs. It is an on-site role at Plant 2 in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, with approximately 10–20% field travel. The work spans office, training, manufacturing-shop, and customer field-service environments, with hands-on activity around industrial electrical systems, control panels, and machinery under supervision.
