About The Position

The Lead EVS Associate helps maintain a clean hospital environment, including patient rooms, offices, work rooms, and visitor lobbies. The role acts as a shift supervisor when a supervisor is absent, monitors unit operations, supports team members, and performs the duties of EVS Associates. The work hours are 3:00–11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Travel is never or rarely required.

Requirements

Prior customer service and/or environmental services experience.
Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities.
Knowledge of cleaning standards.
Ability to lead and coach others.
Basic computer software, hardware, and communication-device skills needed to perform tasks.
Customer service skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to use supplies, materials, and equipment effectively.
Knowledge of infection control.
Ability to analyze information and use logic to solve problems.
Supervisory and team leadership skills, including coaching, engaging, and developing employees.

Responsibilities

Act as a shift supervisor and oversee associates when a supervisor is absent.
Monitor unit operations and provide input on individual performance through feedback and recommendations.
Participate in people-management activities for unit team members, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews.
Perform inspections and quality audits, and identify ways to improve the experience.
Train new hires and ensure current employees’ knowledge remains up to date.
Perform all duties of EVS Associates.
