About The Position
The EVS Associate I maintains cleanliness at Franciscan Health facilities by cleaning and sanitizing rooms and surfaces, restocking supplies, removing trash and linen, and providing linen services. The associate cares for and cleans equipment used in the role and reports damage, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to a supervisor. The position requires maintaining knowledge of department policies and procedures. The schedule is 12:00 noon to 8:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. Travel is never or rare.
Requirements
- One year of experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect floors using hospital-specific equipment, including microfiber cloths and wet mops.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, including over-bed tables, counters, furniture, toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, walls, floors, and mirrors.
- Clean and sanitize vertical surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and windows.
- Ensure high-dust surfaces, including picture frames, vents, and doorframes, are clean.
- Inspect rooms to verify proper cleaning and report safety or maintenance issues.
- Remove trash and linen, clean receptacles, and prepare them for their next use.
- Restock paper, hand sanitizer, and hand soap supplies.
- Care for and clean equipment used, and report damage or safety issues to a supervisor.
- Maintain knowledge of department policies and procedures.
