About The Position

Franciscan Health Crown Point is hiring an EVS Associate I to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the healthcare environment. The role uses hospital-specific equipment and cleaning methods to care for floors, surfaces, restrooms, and high-touch areas. The associate inspects rooms, reports safety or maintenance issues, removes trash and linen, prepares receptacles for reuse, and replenishes supplies. Travel is required never or rarely.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect floors using hospital-specific equipment, including microfiber cloths and wet mops.
Clean and sanitize horizontal surfaces such as over-bed tables, counters, and furniture.
Clean and sanitize restroom surfaces, including toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, walls, floors, and mirrors.
Clean and sanitize vertical surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and windows.
Ensure high-dust surfaces such as picture frames, vents, and doorframes are clean.
Inspect rooms to ensure proper cleaning and report safety or maintenance issues.
Remove trash and linen, clean receptacles, and prepare them for next use.
Restock paper, hand sanitizer, and hand soap supplies.
Sanitize high-touch areas such as light switches, bed rails, and doorknobs.
