About The Position

The EVS Associate I maintains cleanliness at the Franciscan Health Crawfordsville Campus by cleaning and sanitizing facilities, restocking supplies, removing trash, and providing linen services. The associate cares for and cleans equipment used in the work, reports damages or safety issues to a supervisor, and maintains knowledge of department policies and procedures.

Work includes cleaning and disinfecting floors with hospital-specific equipment; sanitizing surfaces and furnishings; cleaning walls, ceilings, windows, and high-dust areas; inspecting rooms and reporting safety or maintenance issues; removing trash and linen and preparing receptacles for reuse; and replenishing paper, hand sanitizer, and hand soap supplies. Travel is never or rarely required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect floors using hospital-specific equipment, including microfiber cloths and wet mops.
• Clean and sanitize over-bed tables, counters, furniture, toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, walls, floors, and mirrors.
• Clean and sanitize vertical surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness of high-dust surfaces, such as picture frames, vents, and doorframes.
• Inspect rooms to verify cleaning and report safety or maintenance issues.
• Remove trash and linen, clean receptacles, and prepare them for next use.
• Restock paper, hand sanitizer, and hand soap supplies.
• Care for and clean equipment used in the work.
• Report equipment damage or safety issues to a supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of department policies and procedures.
