About The Position

The Lead Enrollment Specialist is the senior technical and operational expert within Enrollment Services, performing complex commercial and government payor enrollment functions to register providers and facilities with insurance payors so they can be authorized to bill and receive reimbursement. The role provides day-to-day functional leadership, coordination, and support for Enrollment Specialists.

The position owns, coordinates, and executes non-professional/facility and provider enrollment activities across the system, and manages advanced and escalated provider enrollment issues. It ensures enrollment processes are accurate, consistent, and timely to support revenue cycle integrity, reduce billing-readiness delays, and mitigate reimbursement risk.

As a subject matter expert and team resource, the Lead Enrollment Specialist provides training, mentorship, and quality oversight. In partnership with the System Manager of Enrollment Services, the role supports standardized workflows, monitors performance trends, and contributes to continuous process improvement. It also serves as a liaison among enrollment operations, revenue cycle, contracting, and operational stakeholders across the system.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 4–5 years of provider enrollment experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing complex or escalated enrollment issues.
• Experience serving as a subject matter expert in PECOS facility/non-facility enrollment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPES or similar certification preferred.
• Experience serving as a subject matter expert, trainer, or lead resource strongly preferred.
• Direct experience with non-professional/facility enrollment strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating system-level or multi-entity enrollment activities strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
