Lead Dental Assistant
About The Position
Children's Dental Center of New Hampshire is hiring a Lead Orthodontic Assistant in Amherst, New Hampshire. The role supports the clinical team by providing patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The assistant helps the doctor with orthodontic procedures, treatment planning, and patient education; prepares treatment rooms; sterilizes instruments; and helps ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position is full-time, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The posting lists hourly pay of $22–$26 and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures.
- Assist the doctor with patient treatment, positioning instruments, and handling orthodontic appliances.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and oral hygiene.
- Manage patient scheduling and assist with front-office tasks as needed.
- Support dentists and staff with treatment planning, billing, and insurance matters.
- Ensure accurate submission of expenses and invoices.
- Maintain office inventory, including supplies and equipment.
- Address patient and employee concerns professionally.
