About The Position

Ideal Dental is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to support patients and the dental team while delivering patient-centered care. The role assists with dental procedures, patient preparation and education, diagnostic imaging and scanning, documentation, infection control, and maintaining efficient patient flow and treatment rooms. The position works collaboratively with the practice team to provide a positive patient experience. Newly acquired DeNovo offices may require travel.

Requirements

Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
Current CPR certification.
At least 2 years of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists with a wide range of dental procedures and support patient comfort.
Greet guests and prepare and educate them before the dentist’s examination.
Take dental X-rays and conduct digital iTero scans.
Prepare and break down treatment rooms and operatories, keeping them clean and organized.
Facilitate patient flow, handoffs, and transitions throughout visits.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices.
Take accurate impressions and bite registrations.
Record patient medical histories and assist with charting and documentation.
Chart existing and recommended treatments to support treatment planning and record-keeping.
Collaborate with the practice team to deliver quality guest care and patient satisfaction.
Perform other duties as required to support the office.
Travel to newly acquired DeNovo offices when required.
