About The Position

Ideal Dental is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to support patients and the dental team by helping deliver exceptional, comprehensive, patient-centered care. The role assists with dental procedures, patient preparation and education, diagnostic services, treatment documentation, infection control, and patient flow. The position uses dental technology, including an iTero scanner, and contributes to a clean, organized, and efficient practice. Ideal Dental describes its culture as supportive and focused on professional growth, innovation, and compassionate care. Newly acquired DeNovo offices may require travel.

Requirements

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 2 years of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with a wide range of dental procedures and help ensure patients are comfortable.
• Greet guests and prepare and educate them before the doctor's examination.
• Take dental X-rays to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms and operatories.
• Facilitate patient flow, handoffs, and transitions during visits.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
• Educate patients about oral hygiene practices.
• Take impressions and bite registrations.
• Perform digital iTero scans.
• Record patient medical histories and assist with charting and documentation.
• Chart existing and recommended treatments to support treatment planning and record-keeping.
• Collaborate with the practice team to provide quality guest care and positive patient experiences.
• Perform other duties as required to support the office.
• Travel may be required for newly acquired DeNovo offices.
