Dental Assistant Lead
About The Position
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with Arizona dental standards. Requirements
- Arizona X-Ray certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Arizona Coronal Polish certification.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- Arizona Sealant certification.
Responsibilities
- Assists the doctor in procedures.
- Takes x-rays.
- Takes IO's.
- Assists in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene.
- Charts cavities and teeth with the doctor.
- Sterilizes instruments.
- Sets up and breaks down treatment and hygiene rooms and prepares them for care.
- Charts the patient's treatment and treatment plan with the doctor.
