About The Position
The Dental Assistant Lead supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with Arizona dental standards. CHOICE Healthcare Services is the largest provider of pediatric dental care in the Southwest United States and focuses on providing everyone access to the healthcare they need. The role works with doctors to deliver dental care to children in the community.
Requirements
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Arizona X-Ray certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Arizona Coronal Polish certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Arizona Sealant certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during procedures.
- Take X-rays.
- Take intraoral images (IOs).
- Assist with prophylaxis teeth cleaning.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Chart cavities and teeth with the doctor.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up and break down treatment and hygiene rooms and prepare them for use.
- Chart patients’ treatment and treatment plans with the doctor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
