About The Position

The Lead Dairy/FF Clerk helps maintain guest service and department operations in the dairy and frozen food department. The role involves stocking, rotating, conditioning, ordering, and merchandising products; maintaining inventory, sanitation, and safe, organized work areas; supporting deliveries and grocery inventory; and assisting with front-end duties as needed to uphold the No Noticeable Wait standard.

Ability to lift 60 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to work amid temperature fluctuations in and around the dairy and frozen department.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and co-workers.
Stock, rotate, and condition dairy and frozen products according to Lowes Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
Maintain a neat and safe work area for guests.
Keep overstock in cooler and freezer areas organized, inventoried, rotated, and dated.
Minimize damage and shrink through inventory control, product rotation, and proper handling.
Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise deliveries.
Order milk, eggs, and other dairy and frozen products to maintain appropriate product levels, rotation, and inventory control.
Maintain organized ordering paperwork and follow stock-loss documentation procedures.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in cooler and freezer areas.
Perform front-end duties as necessary to uphold the No Noticeable Wait standard.
Prepare dairy and frozen food departments for grocery inventory.
Work with the Receiver and Store Manager to meet guest demand for DSD frozen and dairy items.
Order and merchandise advertising items to maximize sales and profits.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
