About The Position
This is a long-term, ongoing role for a Cost Control Specialist supporting Capital Projects for a Tank Terminal client. The position is based in a downtown New Orleans, LA office.
Requirements
- Prefer cost experience in an industrial, construction, or refinery setting.
Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable of standard business cost control procedures and practices
- Become familiar with and comply with Client's cost control procedures and practices
- Review base cost data, budgets, balance sheets, invoices, timesheets, etc.
- Conduct cost tracking of labor, materials, and other invoices
- Track headcount
- Prepare and issue routine reports
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers
- Identify performance improvement opportunities
