Lead Cleaner

About The Position

The Lead Cleaner coordinates daily facility operations by delegating assignments and guiding team members. The role provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is not present and demonstrates established standards to keep facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. The work includes operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and performing general janitorial duties as needed. This position is suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

One year of similar work experience.
One year of customer service experience.
One year of lead or supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Complete any additional certifications or training required by the site type.
Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
Provide leadership and direction to team members.
Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
Assist with preparing daily and weekly work schedules.
Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
Take care of keys and access cards for the property.
Report damaged, broken, or out-of-work features and items.
Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
