About The Position

Medical City Las Colinas is hiring a full-time Lead Certified Surgical Tech OB for a day-shift role. The lead manages the obstetric surgical suite, mentors surgical technologists, and helps ensure the team is prepared to provide safe and efficient obstetric care. The role includes organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies; assisting with patient positioning, preparation, and transport; supporting the surgical team during procedures; and maintaining sterile technique and a safe, organized environment. The position offers access to surgical tools, staffing and scheduling resources, and leadership support. The role is part of a patient-focused team providing obstetric care.

Requirements

• One year of Certified Surgical Technologist experience is required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Vocational/technical graduate of a Surgical Technician program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite by organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies for safe, efficient procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and transport while maintaining comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Support the surgical team during procedures by anticipating needs and providing instruments and supplies.
• Guide and mentor Surgical Technologists and share updates on processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Maintain sterile technique, perform counts, and ensure a safe, organized environment for patients and staff.
