About The Position

As a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on safely delivering newborns and providing high standards of obstetric and surgical care. You will prepare the surgical suite, support the surgical team during procedures, and help ensure compassionate, patient-centered care. Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Hold a Certified Surgical Technologist credential, or qualify through work experience in lieu of the credential; alternatively, hold one of the listed credentials: Nationally Registered Surgical Technician (NRST), Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C), or a certificate.
• Have a certificate, work experience in lieu of a degree, or be a vocational school graduate.
• OB experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for safe, efficient procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Provide instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts, and ensure instruments and equipment function properly.
• Work with the surgical team to provide patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience.
