About The Position

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Overnight Lead Caregiver to serve as a shift leader and working caregiver. The Lead Caregiver ensures consistent, high-quality resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team. The role includes providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living when needed and modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.
• CHHA or CNA required, as stated in the job title.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on support with activities of daily living when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure it aligns with Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
• Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate concerns.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
