About The Position

Nu is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to address complex, ambiguous business questions and turn unstructured data into clear recommendations for executives. The role analyzes blockchain transactions, liquidity, token activity, and market changes to uncover consumer behavior insights, and leads two to three initiatives with ambiguous objectives and scope in partnership with Engineering, Product, Controllership, and Business Control Officers. The analyst owns core metrics and executive dashboards, strengthens key risk indicators and controls, and builds financial and strategic models to assess product features and international growth. The role also develops reliable data pipelines using SQL and Python, integrates AI tools and workflows responsibly into analytics, and works cross-functionally to assess the commercial and operational impact of regulatory updates and business strategy. The position operates in Nu’s hybrid work model, with employees working from the office at least twice a week on strategic collaboration days.

Requirements

Strong foundation in quantitative analysis, probability, statistical modeling, and financial mechanics applied to complex business problems.
Hands-on experience designing controlled A/B tests, measuring statistical significance, and establishing guardrail metrics.
Advanced SQL and Python skills for data extraction, manipulation, and pipeline development.
Experience working with product managers and engineers in an iterative, fast-paced product development environment.
Proven ability to translate complex quantitative findings into concise, compelling data stories that influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead in-depth analyses of complex business questions and present executive-ready recommendations.
Analyze blockchain transactions, liquidity, token activity, and market shifts to identify consumer behavior insights.
Lead two to three initiatives with ambiguous objectives and scope, working with Engineering, Product, Controllership, and Business Control Officers.
Improve key risk indicators and controls, including thresholds, signal logic, data quality, and service interactions; connect findings to impact and escalate them to leadership.
Own key metrics and maintain executive dashboards.
Develop shared AI prompts, skills, automated routines, or bots to improve speed while preserving accuracy and critical thinking.
Build quantitative models, scenario analyses, and market sizing to evaluate product features and international growth.
Write SQL and Python code to extract, transform, and structure complex datasets, and establish reliable ETL workflows.
Integrate AI copilots and automated workflows responsibly into daily analytics to improve speed and decision quality.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to assess the commercial and operational impact of regulatory updates and business strategy.
