This role is for a Lead Animal Care Attendant at Pampered Pooch Playground, a confident, compassionate, and capable team member to help guide the daily operations. Destination Pet is a community that lives to elevate the love and lives of pet families, serving best-in-show care from coast to coast with day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. Our goal is to make pets feel at home and their humans feel at ease.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Previous work experience in animal care.
Open availability including Mondays-Fridays, weekends and holidays.
Ability to manage a mop, a medication chart, and pets.
Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and handle leashed dogs for most of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Willingness to work with cleaning supplies, pet hair, and pet "accidents".
Calm under pressure.
Confident in guiding and supporting teammates.

Nice To Haves

Med administration experience.
CPR training is a big plus (company can help with this).
Med-savvy or CPR trained.

Responsibilities

Leading the pack during assigned shifts, coaching, guiding, and setting the tone for pet care excellence.
Working alongside Animal Care Attendants to ensure safety, cleanliness, and a positive environment for pets.
Training new hires on proper pet handling, procedures, and facility operations.
Monitoring pet guests for health, safety, and reporting any concerns to management.
Serving food, fresh water, and providing TLC to every furry guest.
Overseeing medication administration and care for special needs guests.
Bathing and brushing pets.
Ensuring the facility is clean, cozy, and well-maintained.
Other duties as assigned.
Cross-training for front desk customer service representative support.
