About The Position

The NYC Administration and Operations department at the SC Johnson College of Business is responsible for the management and oversight of the College’s New York City locations, ensuring effective delivery of facilities, administrative support, and operational services. This role will serve as the sole onsite administrator for office operations, event and academic support, and course scheduling, primarily based at 570 Lexington Ave. with shared time at Cornell Tech. The position will be a critical liaison with degree programs operating on weekends and will coordinate with partners like the ILR NYC Conference Center and Cornell Tech. The role is responsible for security access, office and room logistics, student services support, and serving as the primary on-site point of contact with limited on-site supervision. The Coordinator must be a strong multitasker, serving as a lead front-facing, service-oriented representative in a fast-paced environment. The ability to prioritize, coordinate, and handle event logistics, while exercising independent judgment and keeping the Manager of NYC Administration and Operations informed, is essential. The Coordinator will support billing for programs, courses, and events, and coordinate necessary NYC-based resources (facilities). This includes working directly with faculty, program teams, and clients on logistics such as AV support, facilities and custodial services, security and building access, and food and beverage needs. This position is primarily based onsite at 570 Lexington Avenue and follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule. Flexibility is required, as occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary to support classes, academic programming, and other activities. The coordinator must be comfortable managing space usage and overseeing office operations independently, as there will be times with limited on-site supervision. In addition, this role will serve as a backup to the Manager of NYC Administration and Operations and may occasionally be required to perform duties that fall outside of this description in support of departmental and operational needs. This position is fully on site.
