About The Position

The Lead Actuarial Predictive Modeler creates predictive models, with a primary focus on pricing segmentation and lifetime value. The role designs, develops, and implements actuarial pricing models and predictive segmentation strategies using established actuarial theory, statistical methods, and machine learning. It works with loss cost models and develops rating features as well as acquisition, retention, and conversion models to support accurate, competitive, and financially sound pricing decisions. The position drives complex, end-to-end pricing initiatives, from exploratory analysis and model development through governance, implementation, and monitoring. It partners with Actuarial, Product, Underwriting, and IT teams to translate business objectives into actuarially defensible pricing solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, and support timely rate filings. The role is hands-on in execution, manages accelerated timelines, maintains pricing discipline, and leads delivery of high-quality results. The Lead Actuarial Predictive Modeler builds models for the most difficult and complex projects, ensures solutions meet strategic, regulatory, and internal requirements, and leads model design and execution. The role creates execution plans, assists predictive modelers in building robust models, identifies beneficial technologies and tools, communicates results and challenges to business partners, and proactively communicates delays. It mentors team members in development, training, and career pathing, ensures projects are properly documented with potential regulatory, legal, and business concerns in mind, and is able to act autonomously.
