About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Lead Account Manager to join our growing Customer Success team. This position is responsible for managing Wellnecity’s enterprise and strategic client relationships, translating data and insights into actionable recommendations, driving client outcomes, and identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen client partnerships. The Lead Account Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders while coordinating across Wellnecity teams to ensure consistent delivery, disciplined follow-through, and tangible client value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years relevant work experience in account management, customer success, or client services role, in healthcare; Masters may substitute for up to 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of health plan fundamentals and the self-funded employer healthcare landscape, including plan design, healthcare management practices, and the roles of carriers, payers, and/or TPAs, brokers/advisors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of clients, proactively diagnosing risk signals using qualitative and quantitative data, and recommending clear mitigation plans.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional efforts (Product, Data, Ops) to address client needs and ensure consistent delivery of account outcomes.
  • Experience working with the full lifecycle of customer success post sales (implementation, account management, renewals).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and growing relationships with clients (including VP and C-level executives).
  • Demonstrated experience solving complex problems independently and presenting clear, data-supported recommendations.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute work across multiple priorities with strong accuracy and follow-through.
  • Track record of identifying and implementing meaningful improvements to processes, tools, or workflows.
  • Ability to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity, effectively manage up and across, and welcome feedback.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare analytics, or benefits advisory.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage client relationships and delivery of the Wellnecity value proposition through regular client touchpoints, including reporting readouts, working sessions, and strategic discussions.
  • Translate data and insights into clear recommendations, helping clients understand implications, make informed decisions, and drive tangible outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, developing a strong understanding of their objectives, establishing clear success plans, and identifying how Wellnecity can help achieve their goals.
  • Champion customer needs internally, proactively identifying risks and opportunities and coordinating the appropriate resources to resolve complex issues and deliver on client priorities.
  • Partner with Implementation to support the successful onboarding and transition of new clients into ongoing account management.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for assigned clients, ensuring consistent delivery, coordination, and follow-through across Wellnecity services and resources.
  • Own revenue outcomes for assigned clients, including renewal and expansion targets.
  • Develop and grow relationships with influential client stakeholders, including VP and C-level executives, building trusted partnerships and Wellnecity champions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Data, Technology, and Operations to address client needs, solve complex problems, and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, tools, and workflows that strengthen client delivery and team effectiveness.
  • Mentor team members, share best practices, and develop strong knowledge of the full suite of Wellnecity solutions and the healthcare landscape in which our clients operate.
